Job Opening: Part-Time Shop Team Member
Location: Stoked — East Village, Des Moines
Hours: 12–15 hours/week | 2–3 weekends a month
Schedule: Saturdays (10am–6pm) & Sundays (12pm–4pm)
About the Role
• Part-time weekend retail position helping customers find gear they love
• Work with a small, community-focused outdoor shop team
• Help keep the shop organized, welcoming, and running smoothly
• Great fit for someone who enjoys the outdoors and connecting with people
• Retail experience is a plus but definitely not required — we’re happy to train the right person
What You’ll Be Doing
• Welcoming customers and helping them find the right gear or apparel
• Running the register and processing transactions
• Restocking shelves and maintaining displays
• Keeping the shop clean, organized, and well-stocked
• Learning about the brands we carry and sharing that knowledge with customers
What We’re Looking For
• Available every Saturday + Sunday
• Comfortable talking with customers and working independently
• Interested in outdoor gear, sustainability, or just being outside
• Willing to learn — no retail experience necessary
• Able to be on your feet, move boxes, and keep up during busy shop hours

Job Opening: Summer Shop Assistant & Social Media Support
Location: Stoked — East Village, Des Moines
Schedule: Thursday & Friday (11am–5pm) | 2-3 weeks per month
Duration: May–August
About the Role
• Temporary summer position helping support the day-to-day operations of the shop
• Work alongside the team assisting customers, keeping the store organized, and helping things run smoothly
• Secondary focus on helping capture and share what’s happening at Stoked through social media
• Great opportunity for someone interested in retail, small business, and learning how an independent shop operates
• Some experience with social media, photography, or video is helpful but not required
What You’ll Be Doing
• Assisting customers and helping them find gear or apparel
• Helping keep the shop clean, organized, and well-stocked
• Restocking products and maintaining displays
• Supporting the team with general shop tasks as needed
• Helping capture photos or short videos of new arrivals, used gear, and shop moments
• Assisting with occasional social media posts or stories
What We’re Looking For
• Friendly and comfortable interacting with customers
• Able to work independently and stay organized
• Interested in outdoor gear, sustainability, or secondhand culture
• Interest in social media, photography, or content creation is a plus
• Retail experience is helpful but not required
